In-home respite gives family caregivers time to rest, work, attend appointments, or manage other responsibilities while a qualified caregiver supports their loved one at home. Based on the authorized care plan, respite may include supervision, companionship, personal care assistance, meal support, and help maintaining familiar routines. Coverage and hours are determined by the member’s health plan, care manager, or MI Choice waiver authorization.
